S.H.I.T.

July 31st, 2008 -- Posted in ChitChat | 3 Comments »

That title reminds me of something funny that Clint said yesterday. We had S.O.S. for supper last night. Clint was calling it So Happy Its Thursday On a Shingle. ROFL!!!!!!!! Funny kid.

So today is apple day. I plan on getting through as many apples as I can today. I am filling the crockpot with apple butter first. I can can that on Saturday after it is done cooking down. The rest of what I get done today will be sauce and the requested pie. I am also going to get a recipe for canned apple pie filling from a friend. I cannot believe how blessed we have been with the gift of garden produce from friends! It will go a long way to feed the family through the winter months.

Our doggy house guest goes home today. I think he is more than ready to go home! I wonder if he has ever been left this long before. He is a sweet, sweet dog but I know he will be happy to see his family today.

So apples is all that I will be doing today. Just think, when you are here in April you get to taste the fruits of my labor. That will be good!

Lonely Camels

Well, not only are you busy, but your internets are broken. So you say. It could be a ruse, I know, and you just don’t love me anymore. If that is the case, I apologize in advance, but I will be stalking you. Because after all this time, and all these promises………….hahahhahhaha, just kidduing, dearie! I know you’ll be back as soon as you can. Hopefully a lot sooner than you made it back the last time you disappeared on me, LOL.

I’ve used my notebook to formulate my agenda for today. Let me tell you, if you have not convinced yourself to use an editorial calendar, you should. Monday morning, I spent less than 5 minutes coming up with post ideas for the week, and so when I plan my day, I just pick from the list. Also, today, I am talking about your hand stuff on knits. ;)

Today is Batman’s sheets and living room day, and it needs it for sure! Other than that, the only thing going on is that I have to call my FIL to thank him for the birthday check that I handed right to dh to put in the bank. Gotta love it. Oh. And I am going to Mama’s tonight to eat supper and help her with more beans/peas/ We didn’t get finished yesterday.

Ok, time to get to it, I guess.

I am using my notebook again today. I futzed with layouts last night, and I think I have it like I want it. We’ll see. But I already know what I am going to blog about today, so that’s cool.

If I get to blog. My mother is coming with major produce today, so who knows what will get done! When I get done here, I plan to clean my room real fast (that’s today’s chore) and then power through whatever else I can get accomplished before she gets here.

I’ll hold off on more of Job until you get a chance to re-read Job 5. I’d rather stay together, I think.

I know this is a little disjointed, but I am in a rush. Sorry.

Lonely Monday

July 28th, 2008 -- Posted in ChitChat | 5 Comments »

I have called this Lonely Monday, because I know you will not be here. I cannot believe that getting your garden harvested and providing food for your family is more important than sitting here and talking to me! Geez!

Remember I said I wanted a moleskine? I’ve kinda decided to just adapt that and actually use my NOTEbooks as just that. There isn’t enough room in a calendar moleskine for all the notes I need to take, and since I have notebooks already, I will just use them for now. Blah, blah, blah, I said all that to say that I have already used it to lay out blog posts on both my main blogs for the week, as well as schedule in some other internet work I want, plus laid out my house jobs for the day.

I also took notes on Job 5. Yes, do not choke, but I actually have done my Bible reading while breakfast cooks. Yes, cooked breakfast again. Stop HOOTING!

Anyway, Eliphaz goes on speaking things that are mostly true, but without understanding the roles that Satan and the fall play in our lives. He is not “rightly dividing the Word of truth”. God often spares us from death, as Eliphaz asserts, but He often uses hardship to get our attention as well, looking at the eternal goal of reconciliation to Him. (Where there is life, there is hope, and He spares the unsaved as well, I believe, to give them a chance to come to repentance.) Eliphaz clearly believes that God is all powerful, but I think he misses the part where God gave us free will and allows us to reap what we sow, even years later. And that the adversary also has that same free will.

Ok, time to get busy. I’ve got rocks to roll, mostly into the kitchen to eat breakfast ;)

Because then we wouldn’t be butchering. I am just really not looking forward to that whole process today. Lazy I guess. I hope that you have a fun filled day of sewing! :)
