Rainy Thursday
August 21st, 2008 by Ang. -- Posted in ChitChat |Yep, we are finally getting some rain. August has been typically dry so today’s moisture is welcomed! So today I plan on whipping through the downstairs rooms. It shouldn’t take long to do since I don’t have to stop to read or play or switch channels or start a new computer game.
I also need to put away the remaining baskets of clean laundry. It feels good to have the laundry caught up! I am on incubator watch today. I have no idea if this chick is even alive inside the egg. This is nerve wracking! Also, my tooth is really hurting. I took some ibuprofen but if it continues like this I am going to have to make a dentist appointment. Ouchy!

I want a new laptop. (I have decided to say that every day). I am glad that you are getting rain. We still need some to catch up, but it has at least been wetter this year than in previous years.
Are you excited as well as nervous? And do any of the others look like they are cracking?
And why does my pelvis hurt when I try to stand up and walk?
Today, I need to make sure the kids area gets cleaned, and do school. I feel really good about what I got done yesterday, even with the chatting we did, so I will probably continue to make that a weekly thing. Besides, if I actually have to post about it, I don’t want to add more than once to the store anyway. I think that would overload my readers, yk?
K. So. I am going to read Job, and then I will chew on it while I scrub toilets and get back to you.
Do you have plans for the weekend? I am supposed to get my hair did tomorrow, and Lord KNOWS! It has reached epic proportions and needs to be bushhogged. She told me it was a 6 week haircut, and I have been trying to get there for six weeks, so….
The big girls have a pancake breakfast to work on Saturday, and then there is weigh-in for the tackle boys in the afternoon. I’m sure that we can officially say my Saturdays are “pwned” until November.

Plans for the weekend? I don’t think so. I do know that Tom said there is no way he is working on Saturday. I imagine we will be picking apples again and doing yard work and probably canning some more stuff. But we haven’t talked about it.

OH! I am going to the Amish store tomorrow though. So I will be out for most of the day. I need some spices and a few other things that they usually carry.

Ok, Job 7. By the way, I scrubbed bathroom walls today.
I noticed that Job suffered from insomnia. As someone who who suffered through that, the reference hit me right off. Interesting to know that it was a problem even in ancient times!!
In verses 11-21, Job is clearly questioning God. In verse 19, he is saying “give me a break” if I ever read it! I think the lesson here is that God wants us to talk to Him. Why is an okay question, as long as we are willing to accept whatever His answer is. Job questions God, and yet he is still considered a just person.
Besides, it does no good to hide our angst from God. He knows already. We aren’t telling Him stuff for HIS benefit. We talk to Him for OUR benefit.
PS, don’t forget to click the envelope!

I have managed to get the living room and dining room done this morning. Wow! Despite the daily cleanings they were really dirty. Kids just aren’t as thorough. I am hoping after lunch and a short nap I can get through the bathroom and the kitchen. I still want to bake a chocolate zucchini cake today.
